Job Title: Cytotechnologist
Location: White Plains, NY
Assignment: 13 Weeks | 37.5 hrs/week

- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Summary:
Seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist to join a high-volume acute care laboratory. The ideal candidate will have strong experience screening gynecological and non-gynecological specimens, performing fine needle aspiration (FNA) assessments, and maintaining high standards of diagnostic accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Screen and evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological cytology specimens
- Perform FNA processing and immediate adequacy assessments
- Prepare and process cytology specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Utilize the Bethesda System for Cytology reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation and quality control standards
- Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results
Requirements:
- Active New York State Cytotechnologist License
- ASCP Certification required
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Minimum 3 years of Cytology experience
- Experience screening GYN and Non-GYN specimens (required)
- Experience with FNA processing and adequacy assessment (required)
- ThinPrep Certification required
- Strong knowledge of the Bethesda System for Cytology Reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cytology specimen preparation for GYN and Non-GYN testing
- Acute care or hospital laboratory experience
Pay: $80.00 - $86.00 per hour
