Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Crawlspace Technician to join our dynamic restoration team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and restoring crawlspaces affected by water damage, mold, fire, or flood-related incidents. Your expertise will help clients regain safe, healthy living environments while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of crawlspaces to identify issues such as water intrusion, mold growth, fire damage, or asbestos presence.
- Perform cleaning and remediation tasks including mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and debris removal using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to remove damaged materials and prepare spaces for restoration.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Execute flood restoration, water damage restoration, and fire restoration procedures efficiently to restore properties to their pre-loss condition.
- Apply Xactimate software for accurate damage assessment and documentation of repairs needed.
- Support emergency response efforts by providing on-call coverage for urgent situations requiring immediate attention.
- Follow strict safety protocols during all phases of work to ensure personal safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist with carpet cleaning and general cleaning tasks within crawlspaces as part of the overall restoration process.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the restoration industry or construction is highly preferred; familiarity with water damage, flood recovery, mold remediation, or fire restoration is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection measures.
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, Xactimate software, and general construction techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward client interactions.
- Willingness to respond promptly during on-call situations for emergency response coverage.
- Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces while maintaining physical stamina for extended periods.
- Knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures and mold remediation practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
