Shift Lead – Uncle Maddio’s Pizza
Location: Muscle Shoals, Alabama
Position Summary
Uncle Maddio’s Pizza in Muscle Shoals is looking for an energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Shift Lead to help oversee daily restaurant operations. This position is responsible for leading the team during assigned shifts, ensuring outstanding customer service, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and supporting the General Manager in achieving sales and operational goals.
The ideal candidate leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys coaching others while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and/or close the restaurant according to company procedures.
- Lead and motivate team members throughout each shift.
- Ensure every guest receives friendly, fast, and accurate service.
- Prepare and serve food according to Uncle Maddio’s recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, kitchen, and prep areas.
- Monitor food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance.
- Delegate tasks and ensure team members stay productive during the shift.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly.
- Count cash drawers, reconcile deposits, and complete end-of-shift paperwork.
- Assist with inventory, food prep, stocking, and receiving deliveries.
- Train new employees on procedures, food preparation, and customer service expectations.
- Monitor labor and help control food waste.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, equipment, and operational needs.
- Step into any position in the restaurant as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience required.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions during shifts.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
