Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency in flavor and presentation
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily operations
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently during busy service periods, supporting the overall flow of the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to promote a hygienic kitchen environment
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of dishes while maintaining quality standards
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests or front-of-house staff, ensuring a positive dining experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within restaurants or the food industry
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in meal preparation and service
