Seamster/Seamstress of Awnings and Machine Covers
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Operate sewing equipment
- Measure materials to mark reference points, cutting lines or other indicators
- Ability to read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials required. Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Develop or adapt designs to fit measurements
- Utilizing tape measures; record measurements, applying knowledge of design and construction styling
- Estimating sizes, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Fasten snaps, grommets, Velcro, etc.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Performing general physical activities — physical activities that require considerable use of your hands, arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of large fabric items.
- Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork
- Minimum 18 years of age
