Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and art or dance therapy when appropriate (optional, not required)
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Facilitate specialized counseling for populations including children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, and individuals with co-occurring disorders or PTSD.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards while ensuring confidentiality of medical records.
- Collaborate with medical professionals on psychopharmacology considerations and coordinate case management efforts for comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, ensuring seamless access to mental health services across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and clinic environments.
- Supervise our ARMHS, EIDBI and CTSS program.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., LP, LPC, LMFT, LCSW) with state-specific credentials required.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention, crisis management, and social work practices within clinical settings.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient environments; experience with special education or pediatric populations is a plus.
- Strong skills in clinical documentation standards, medical records management, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments and provide patient-centered care through telehealth or in-person sessions.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for addiction counseling, grief counseling, gender issues counseling, and chronic pain counseling is highly desirable.
