Navajo Incorporated is seeking a dependable and experienced Building Maintenance Technician to help maintain our office, warehouse, and facility operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general facility upkeep.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Inspect facilities and identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Repair doors, windows, flooring, fixtures, shelving, and office furniture.
- Maintain HVAC equipment and coordinate service with outside vendors when necessary.
- Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and assist with facility improvements.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from employees and management.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain maintenance logs, inventory of supplies, and repair records.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and other seasonal property maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of building maintenance or facilities maintenance experience required.
- Experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and work independently.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including standing, climbing, bending, and working both indoors and outdoors.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA safety training or certification.
- Forklift certification (or ability to become certified).
- Experience maintaining warehouse and distribution facilities.
