Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Execute floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, and polishing to maintain a polished appearance.
- Manage laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and efficiency.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures in accordance with health standards to prevent contamination and ensure safety.
- Dust surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and vents meticulously to eliminate dust buildup and improve air quality.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely during the movement of furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients or residents regarding their cleaning needs or special requests to deliver personalized service.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory, operate janitorial equipment properly, and ensure all cleaning surfaces are sanitized regularly.
- Support housekeeping management by documenting completed tasks, reporting maintenance issues promptly, and adhering to time management schedules.
- Conduct outdoor work as needed for patio or garden cleaning tasks to uphold overall property cleanliness.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments such as custodial work or janitorial roles.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures including floor care, carpet cleaning, dusting, surface sanitation, and laundry operations.
- Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning equipment.
- Experience in implementing sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients or residents about their needs.
- Prior outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior spaces.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while juggling multiple tasks in fast-paced settings.
