Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to residents in an assisted living environment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and those requiring assistance with daily activities.
Duties
As an Assisted Living Caregiver, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Providing personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs as needed to ensure residents' health and safety.
- Supporting residents with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring when necessary.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the personal care home environment.
- Engaging residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
- Responding promptly to residents' needs and emergencies while following established protocols.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in long-term care settings.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response techniques.
- Previous experience in home care or personal care environments is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
