Preschool Lead Teacher (Ages 3–5)

Are you passionate about guiding young learners and supporting families? Join SEK-CAP, Inc. as a Preschool Lead Teacher and lead a team dedicated to creating a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 3–5. You’ll partner with staff and families to ensure quality education, positive interactions, and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and state childcare guidelines.
What You’ll Do
- Provide daily leadership, supervision, and training for classroom staff and volunteers.
- Create and implement individualized lesson plans using observations and Creative Curriculum.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences to strengthen family engagement.
- Support staff through reflective supervision and ongoing professional development.
- Ensure compliance with Head Start standards, KDHE licensing, and best practices.
- Collaborate with community partners and advocate for children and families.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 15 hours in ECE
- 3–5 years of classroom experience preferred
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification at orientation
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within agency area
