We're Hiring: Parts Counterman – Greater Reno Area
Join our team as a Parts Counterman and play a key role in delivering top-tier service to our customers and technicians. This position supports the Parts Department and reports directly to the Parts Manager.
We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, customer-focused, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- All of these duties are to be done daily along with any other special assigned duties.
- Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
- Provides a high level of service to internal and external customers.
- Pulls and fills orders from stock
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
- Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
- Pulls orders for delivery to the customer making sure all parts are tagged with the customer names and invoice number.
- Follows up on back-ordered items
- Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
- Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.
- Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
- Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
- Cleans and stocks display items as needed.
- Assists with yearly inventory and spot checks during the course of the year as mandated by the parts manager.
- Sets annual goals and works to achieve them. These goals will be reviewed during the annual evaluations.
Marginal Duties
- Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
- Participates in all training programs that are made available.
- Keeps current on new products and product updates.
- Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
- Maintains professional appearance.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
