Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious drinks but also providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive café experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders, and assisting with any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting low inventory levels.
- Promote café products through effective sales techniques while maintaining knowledge of menu items.
- Must have a valid food handlers and OLCC card.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems, with strong cash handling skills.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
- Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping customers enjoy their experience at the café.
