Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Towing Dispatcher to coordinate towing operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in dispatching tow trucks, communicating with drivers and customers, and utilizing advanced transportation management systems to ensure timely service. This position offers an engaging environment for individuals with strong communication skills and a background in logistics or transportation planning.
Duties
- Dispatch towing services using GPS, and transportation management systems
- Coordinate with drivers to assign jobs based on location, availability, and priority, ensuring optimal fleet utilization
- Manage incoming calls via multi-line phone systems, providing excellent phone etiquette and clear communication with customers and drivers
- Enter data accurately into towing software
- Prioritize emergency and time sensitive calls
- Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and law enforcement, and property managers
- Manage multiple calls and jobs in a fast paced environment
- Filing miscellaneous paperwork
- Coordinate vehicle releases and customer inquires
Skills
- Minimum 1-2 years towing or roadside dispatch experience
- Proficiency in dispatching tow calls and operating towing software
- Strong understanding of Towbook, Samsara, and related dispatch systems
- Analysis skills to evaluate routes, and driver location for dispatching calls
- Effective dispatching skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills for clear interaction with drivers, customers, and team members
- Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems
- Professional attitude and teamwork mindset
- Understanding of police rotation and towing procedures
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- Customer service background
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
