Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
- Female Client: Dallas, TX 75208 area, 35 hours per week 7-day plan. Monday - Friday from 9:30am - 2:00pm; Saturday from 9:30am - 3:30pm and Sunday from 9:30am - 4:00pm
- Pay Rate: $13/hr
- Will be joining client at church on Sundays
- Possibility of additional hours available before or after shift with Respite services
- - Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living areas and doing laundry- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary- Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments- Assist with childcare duties if required- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Requirements:- Reliable transportation to commute to clients home and provide tasks of laundry and shopping
- - Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred but not required
- - Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
- - Ability to lift and transfer clients safely
- - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- - Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- - High school diploma or equivalent
