The Department of Teaching and Learning within the College of Education at the University of Iowa is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for the following 3-semester hour, online course to be taught Fall semester 2026:
EDTL: 5963 - Ethics and Professional Conduct for Behavior Analysts and Psychologists
This course addresses issues related to ethical and professional conduct of behavior analysts and school psychologists. The objective of the course is to foster development as an ethical, informed, and sensitive service provider. Content is aligned with the BACB Professional Disciplinary and Ethical Standards and Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts, the principles of professional ethics of the National Association of School Psychologists and the ethical principles of the American Psychological Association. The course touches on pervasive ethical conduct considerations for professionals conducting research or providing services to vulnerable populations.
Job Functions
Instruction and student support for the 3-semester hour course will include the following responsibilities:
Development of a course syllabus for the course.
Leading instruction for the course.
Providing meeting time for students enrolled in the course.
Managing the online course system (ICON) for the course.
Education Requirement
Master's or Doctoral degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, School Psychology, or Counselor Education.
Qualifications
Adjunct Instructor must be a licensed, Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
