Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grounds and Landscape Superintendent to lead our landscape maintenance and horticultural operations. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and pest control to maintain pristine outdoor spaces
- Oversee landscaping projects from planning through execution, ensuring quality standards and safety compliance are met
- Lead a team of landscapers, gardeners, and maintenance staff by providing clear direction, training, and performance feedback
- Manage irrigation systems to optimize water use and ensure healthy plant growth across all landscaped areas
- Conduct regular inspections of trees, lawns, gardens, and constructed features to identify issues early and implement timely solutions
- Collaborate with clients or stakeholders to understand their landscaping needs and develop tailored maintenance plans
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and environmental standards while maintaining a focus on efficiency and quality
Skills
- Extensive experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping design, horticulture, and gardening practices, 3+ years experience in Landscaping and grounds experience, 2+ years in leadership role (crew lead or supervision)
- Proven supervising experience leading teams in outdoor environments with a focus on lawn care, tree care, irrigation systems, and general landscape upkeep
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques related to landscape projects and site improvements
- Skilled in pest management, fertilization techniques, and sustainable gardening practices
- Leadership qualities that motivate teams while promoting safety awareness and high-quality work standards
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to irrigation systems, plant health, or landscape infrastructure effectively
