Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Host (AM/PM shift) to be the welcoming face of our restaurant, creating a memorable experience for every guest from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and ensure smooth guest flow throughout your shift. Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and organizational abilities will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating preferences with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Handle restaurant reservation management using various table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain an organized waiting list and monitor table availability to optimize seating efficiency
- Communicate effectively with guests via phone, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant policies using proper phone etiquette
- Coordinate with the serving staff and kitchen team to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness of the host station and waiting areas throughout your shift
Experience
- Previous host or hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and positive interactions
- Experience managing restaurant reservations and using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Familiarity with food service operations, including basic math for handling reservations and table counts
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone manner
- Organizational skills to efficiently manage waitlists, reservations, and guest flow
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and hospitality best practices is a plus
- Experience working in hotel or hospitality settings is advantageous but not required
