Overview

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, grills, and other appliances
- Support food service operations by plating dishes promptly during busy hours
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen workflow and timely meal delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area
- Participate in food safety training sessions and adhere to all safety guidelines
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is advantageous
- Proven culinary experience in restaurant or food industry settings, including fine dining or catering environments
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and food service operations
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Background in food preparation, cooking, serving, or related roles within the culinary field is preferred
