Quail Corners Animal Hospital is a busy Primary and Urgent Care Veterinary Hospital, serving the community for over 50 years. We are hiring for a full-time Veterinary Assistant with 1+ years proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary hospital.
This team member will provide outstanding client and patient care in a fast-paced, multi-doctor hospital and should be professional, positive, reliable and eager to learn. The Veterinary Assistant role Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Participate in daily functions of the pharmacy/exam rooms, obtaining patient history and working appointments with doctors
- Anticipate doctors needs and prepare vaccinations and medications
- Assist with patient restraint of cats and dogs. Must be able to lift 40lbs to table height.
- Provide Animal Husbandry – Walk, feed and ensure care of patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical work areas
- Administer basic medical treatments under the direction of Veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians
- Assist with obtaining quality radiographs and other diagnostics, as well as with handling and processing lab samples.
- Assist with calling patients for medical updates, relaying diagnostic results, refilling of prescriptions, and preparing for future appointments
- Stocking and inventory control of pharmacy products and supplies
- Provide client education
- Be willing to help out anywhere in the hospital and perform any task required to keep the hospital functioning smoothly

Education
- Veterinary experience is required. (1+ years minimum)
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
