Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during all shifts
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols
- Oversee inventory control, including stock ordering, storage, and waste reduction to optimize food costs
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end
- Support kitchen management by supervising food production, ensuring quality standards are met consistently
- Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance and hospitality standards
- Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards
- Expertise in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience supervising teams, conducting interviews, and fostering a positive work environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food management practices in the hospitality industry
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a high-energy setting while maintaining attention to detail
