Job Description
As a Bread Mixer, you’ll play a critical role in preparing high-quality bread products from scratch for daily wholesale distribution. Your primary focus will be mixing and proofing dough, but we value team flexibility—so you may also assist in other areas such as the Rheon station, ovens, roll station, and more.
We operate 364 days a year, so availability on weekends and holidays is required.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Start time: Between 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM
- End time: Between 11:30 PM – 12:30 PM
- Weekends and holidays required
- Overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Weigh, mix, separate, and proof dough
- Ensure product quality and consistency
- Operate bakery machinery safely (training provided)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements
- Experience baking bread from scratch (preferred)
- Food production experience, especially in high-volume settings (preferred)
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to accept feedback and learn new skills
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
- Must be able to relocate to San Diego, CA before starting work
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
- Regularly lift 50+ lbs; push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- Work around hot ovens and moderate-temperature proofers
- Use of bakery tools and equipment (e.g., knives, pallet jacks)
