Job Summary:
The Houseperson will clean and maintain assigned areas of the property and grounds.
Houseperson Responsibilities:
● Performs cleaning and housekeeping tasks and services throughout assigned property
● Strip rooms for housekeepers and put all laundry down the laundry chute
● Picks up trash and empties trash containers
● Assists with the cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities and public spaces
● Washes windows
● Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, and furniture on all floors
● Mopping the first floor and storages
● Take the garbage from the whole hotel including housekeeping carts to the dumpster
● Ensures that housekeeping supplies and amenities are stocked
● Performs other related duties as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
● Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
● Must be able to be discreet
● Detail-oriented and thorough
● Ability to keep the property clean and orderly
● Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward staff, customers, clients, and visitors to the property
Education and Experience:
● High school diploma or equivalent required
● Must pass a background check
Physical Requirements:
● Prolonged periods standing
● Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
