Overview
Midlothian based residential contractor seeking an experienced carpenter/ tradesman and a reliable helper to work along together on various projects. All though a good portion of our work consists of carpentry , we are not limited to just that specific type of work. The projects we are experienced in and preform consists of additions, decks, fences, siding, windows, bathroom/ kitchen remodels, custom builds and renovations. We are a Class A RBC and have a reputation of serving our clients as friends with pride and complete devotion. When a project is completed, a positive relationship is formed with the homeowner and is lasting for any future repairs, projects and warranties.
Duties
- Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking
- Support framing, siding, door hanging, fixture installation, and trim carpentry tasks on residential and commercial sites
- Operate woodworking machines safely to shape and prepare materials for installation or assembly
- Perform heavy lifting of construction materials such as wood, siding, and fixtures while maintaining proper safety protocols
- Aid in the installation of cabinets, mold remediation efforts, caulking, plastering, and other finishing work
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by handling tools properly and ensuring job site safety at all times
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, saws) and power tools for woodworking (drills, saws, sanders)
- Experience with construction site safety procedures related to power tool use and heavy lifting
- Familiarity with wood construction materials such as framing lumber, siding panels, trim pieces, and cabinetry components
- Ability to read construction plans accurately for framing, remodeling, or restoration projects
- Prior experience in residential carpentry or remodeling projects is preferred
- Strong attention to detail in tasks like door hanging, fixture installation, caulking, mold remediation or restoration work
- Knowledge of metal stud framing techniques and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery operation is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to learning new skills in carpentry and woodworking

Pay: $18.00 - $31.25 per hour
