Your role in our team:
As a WUS Operator Training Specialist at WITRON, you will enhance the capabilities of our operational teams across WUS sites by developing and delivering operator training programs. You will identify training needs, conduct onsite audits, assess technical competencies, and support local trainers to ensure consistent standards. You will also facilitate trainer meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Ideal candidate profile:
You are a hands-on operations professional with proven experience delivering training, supporting trainers, and conducting onsite audits to validate skills and standards. You are comfortable assessing competencies, identifying gaps, and driving consistent training practices across multiple sites. You take a structured, hands-on approach to improving training effectiveness by acting on audit results and working closely with trainers and teams to reinforce standards and close skill gaps.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience as an equipment operator

A post-secondary diploma in a related field is considered a strong asset

Experience in training, coaching, or team leadership
Skills/Experience Required:
- Strong practical, analytical, and technical proficiency

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and instructional abilities

Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across functions

Demonstrated capability in performing operator tasks

Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs

Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet (30 meters) with training and PPE, such as fall protection harness

Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 55°F to -15°F (13°C to -26°C), (PPE provided)

Ability to work, days, evenings, nights, and weekends as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training on operational processes, equipment, and best practices
- Develop, update, and maintain training materials and documentation
- Contribute to the development of procedures and standard operating documents
- Conduct training audits and assess operator knowledge levels

Facilitate trainer meetings and promote alignment across sites
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects
- Train, coach, and support regional/local trainers
- Availability to travel up to 75% as required for training or support
