Seasonal (September–April), Part-Time — with potential to grow into full-time | Palm Beach County, FL
Who We Are
Good Days Pizza is a mobile pizza catering company built on one idea: good food and good vibes turn strangers into regulars. September through April is our season — that's when the events, the energy, and the money are. We started as a side hustle and grew into a business that runs ~75 events a year with a reputation for showing up sharp, cooking hot, and treating every client like the most important one on the calendar. We're small, fast-moving, and every person on the team matters — there's no hiding on our crew, and there's no ceiling either.
If you love the hustle of hospitality, get energy from talking to people, and want a job where your work is visible (and delicious), keep reading.
This is a part-time side hustle — not a 9-to-5 or a full time gig. It's built for someone who wants serious extra income, has a real passion for food and hospitality, and is just plain fun to be around. If you bring good energy and positive vibes wherever you go, you'll fit right in here.
The Role
We're looking for a Team Leader to run point on events — from load-in to the last slice to the last dish washed. This isn't just a cooking job. You'll be the face of Good Days at every event: greeting clients, building relationships, making sure the night runs smooth, and representing the brand in a way that turns one-off bookings into repeat clients and referrals.
No professional pizza experience required, but comfort cooking is a must — you'll be firing pizzas on-site during every event, so kitchen or line experience is a big plus. What we can't teach is hospitality instinct — reading a room, making people feel taken care of, and being genuinely outgoing without being fake. If that's you, we'll teach you the wood-fired oven.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading event setup, service, breakdown, and van cleanup start to finish
- Being the primary point of contact with clients on-site — building the kind of relationship that gets us rebooked
- Managing the team and the gig from start to finish — before, during, and after every event
- Cooking and firing pizzas on-site during service
- Driving and maintaining the work vehicle safely and responsibly
- Representing Good Days' culture and standards on every job, every time
- Supervising servers, bartenders, and support staff during events
- Coordinating event setup, service execution, and breakdown
- Conducting pre-event staff briefings and assigning duties
- Ensuring adherence to event timelines and client expectations
- Resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Monitoring food and beverage presentation and service quality
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe event environment
- Communicating effectively with kitchen staff, event managers, and clients
- Joining scheduled client calls to walk through event details ahead of time
- Managing inventory — tracking supplies, ingredients, and equipment before and after events
What you need:
- Valid driver's license and reliable comfort driving a work van
- Outgoing, confident, people-first personality — you like talking to clients, not just working the line
- Fun to be around — positive energy that makes clients and teammates want you at their event
- Strong work ethic and ownership mentality — you treat the van and the brand like they're yours
- Ability to lift, stand, and move for extended periods during events
- Hospitality or customer-facing experience (restaurants, bars, events, retail — doesn't matter which)
- Comfortable cooking and working a live flame — you'll be hands-on making pizza at every event
- Must be available to work weekends — this is non-negotiable, as it's when the majority of our events happen
Schedule: No set weekly hours — you tell us your availability and we build the schedule around it. The one fixed requirement is weekends; beyond that, we work with you.
Pay & Structure
This is a high-paying role with real room to grow as the company grows.
Pay: $42/hour, managing gigs, customers, and the team — before, during, and after every event
Event travel pay: Paid at the current IRS standard mileage rate (currently $0.76/mile), starting from the moment you leave the commissary kitchen to the event location
Typical event day breakdown:
- Set up — 1 hour
- Service — 3 hours
- Breakdown — 1 hour
- Van cleanup (dishes, linens, reloading) — 1 hour
Every event includes a full hour of van cleanup, dishes, linens, and reloading — that's built into your paid time, not extra.
Why Good Days
We're not a big corporate catering machine — we're a growing small business where the person who leads events this season has a real shot at more hours, more responsibility, and a standing invite back for next season. You'll get trained, trusted, and paid well for showing up as the best version of yourself on every job.
