Position: Victim Liaison
This position is responsible for outreach to and supporting victims and survivors of crime for the Addison County restorative Justice Services (ACRJS). This position works closely with the ACRJS and Atria Collective staff within existing and new restorative justice services and programs.

· Read cases referred to ACRJS to determine which cases need victim/survivor outreach then enter outreach log.
· Contact victims/survivors of crime in a timely manner and determine support services.
· Contact victims/survivors of cases referred to RJ Panels to determine how they have been impacted, what restoration they need, and whether they would like to participate in a restorative process with the offender.
· Provide victims survivor with information regarding panel meetings, support victims/survivor at meetings, and follow up regarding case outcomes.
· Ensure panel meetings address victim/survivors needs and are inclusive, survivor-centered and trauma informed.
· Distribute letters and restitution payments to victims/survivors.
· Collect, enter and maintain data for the program.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or related five years’ experience
· Strong facilitation, organizational, computer and communication skills.
· Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Ability to work respectfully with a wide variety of personalities, experiences and backgrounds.
· Ability to remain calm and handle difficult conversations as well as create an atmosphere of caring and problem solving for those under distress. Strong listening and empathy skills.
· Ability to work early in the evenings when needed. Ability to travel for training and meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Specialized training in domestic and sexual violence, restorative justice, social work, substance abuse, trauma, and/or criminal justice system.
· Prior experience with crime victims/survivors.
· Understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual violence.
· Knowledge of Addison County resources and service providers.
· Experience with volunteers and volunteering.
