Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the head chef to create and execute menus
- Oversee food preparation and ensure quality and presentation standards are met
- Assist in managing kitchen staff and delegating tasks
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Please note that bartending experience is not relevant to the position of Sous Chef, so it will not be included in the job description.
