Job Summary:
Responsible for safely and efficiently transporting and delivering products, packages, or merchandise to customers and businesses. The Delivery Driver provides excellent customer service, maintains accurate delivery records, and ensures all deliveries are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle to make scheduled deliveries.
- Load, transport, and unload products or packages.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures when required.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
- Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Handle products carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, and management regarding delivery issues or delays.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift and carry packages as required.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred but not always required.
Work Environment:
This position may involve extended periods of driving, frequent stops, loading and unloading packages, and working in various weather conditions.
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
