Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, local and regional driving routes. Your expertise in handling trailers will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules
- Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or safety concerns
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT regulations
- Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation accuracy
- Ability to load and unload freight efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Familiarity with trailers, and other specialized equipment
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with over-the-road (OTR) routes preferred
- Knowledge of logistics cargo handling processes for freight movement across various transportation modes

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
