About the Position
Absolute Air Systems is looking for an experienced (must have hands-on experience) HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in accurately diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems. We are not a sales-driven company. Our technicians are paid to solve problems, not sell equipment or upsell customers.
We are seeking a technician who can confidently troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC systems, explain findings honestly to customers, and perform quality repairs. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigeration issues.
- Perform maintenance inspections and identify potential concerns.
- Test system performance and verify proper operation after repairs.
- Replace defective components, including capacitors, contactors, motors, thermostats, controls, and other HVAC parts.
- Accurately measure refrigerant pressures, temperatures, and system performance.
- Clearly explain repair options and findings to customers without pressure or sales tactics.
- Complete service documentation and job notes accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Participate in occasional after-hours or emergency service as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of HVAC service experience required.
- Ability to independently diagnose HVAC system issues.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration, airflow, electrical controls, and system operation.
- Experience with residential split systems, package units, heat pumps, and air handlers.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and use diagnostic tools.
- Must arrive on time, prepared, and ready to provide excellent service to scheduled customers each day.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and maintain a drug-free workplace.
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills.

Base pay is determined by experience, skill level, and technical ability, with additional performance-based incentives available.
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
