Overview
We are seeking a dependable and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our vascular practice in a primarily scheduling-focused role. This position plays an important part in supporting daily office operations, coordinating patient appointments, referrals, vascular studies, and ensuring a smooth efficient patient experience.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Responsibilities
- Schedule ultrasound appointments, office visits, follow-ups, and in-office lab draws
- Schedule referrals with outside providers and track completion of orders
- Coordinate vascular studies both in-office and with outside facilities
- Answer patient calls and assist with clinical questions
- Communicate with providers, staff, and patients regarding appointments and follow-up care
- Update patient information and document all activity in the EMR
- Assist with records, orders, and referral paperwork, and general office support as needed
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to office policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in the state of Alabama required
- Previous medical office, specialty practice, or scheduling experience preferred
- Phlebotomy experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems and basic office technology
- Ability to multitask and work independently while maintaining a professional, patient-focused, team-oriented demeanor
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday (36-40 hours per week)
Compensation: Based upon experience
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
