Responsibilities
- Safely transport prepared dishes from the kitchen to designated tables or stations using proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices.
- Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before delivery to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including plating and garnishing under chef supervision.
- Support the serving team by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining a clean dining environment to promote excellent guest service.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to relay special requests or modifications.
- Handle heavy lifting of food trays and supplies with proper safety measures in place.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods, including banquet events or large parties.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; familiarity with culinary processes is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices within a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, kitchen staff, and fellow team members.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for hospitality operations.
- Previous banquet experience or hotel experience is desirable but not mandatory; a passion for guest services is essential.
