Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to bend conduit, run wiring, and install electrical components according to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Conduct conduit bending, electrical wiring, and systems installation while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 and local safety procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues on construction sites using schematics and blueprint reading skills.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and ensuring safety measures are followed at all times.
Experience
- Previous 1-2 years of experience or training related to industrial or commercial electrical work is needed.
- Familiarity with construction site environments and safety procedures.
- Experience with low voltage systems, high voltage installations, or working with power tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of conduit bending techniques and electrical wiring practices is desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures aligned with NFPA 70 standards.
- Construction experience involving framing carpentry or general construction tasks will be considered an asset.
