Position Overview
United International College is currently seeking qualified Adjunct Instructors for the Fall 2026 semester.
We have two faculty openings:
- GRA 2190 – Graphic Design
- MMC 1000 – Introduction to Mass Communication & Media Literacy
We welcome applications from candidates qualified to teach Graphic Design only, Mass Communications only, or both courses. Applicants qualified to teach both courses are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
The ideal candidate must be available to teach during the morning hours on the assigned class day.
Course Schedule
- GRA 2190 – Graphic Design
- Tuesdays
- 9:00 AM – 11:50 AM
- MMC 1000 – Introduction to Mass Communication & Media Literacy
- Fridays
- 9:00 AM – 11:50 AM
Applicants may apply to teach either course individually or both courses, provided they are qualified and available for the corresponding class schedule. Candidates interested in teaching both courses must be available on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
Instructional Modality
This is a hybrid teaching assignment consisting of:
- 6 required on-campus class sessions
- 9 live online class sessions
Faculty are expected to effectively engage students in both in-person and virtual learning environments.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Graphic Design and/or Mass Communications.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and classroom activities.
- Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Foster student engagement and academic success.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, Fine Arts, Mass Communications, Communications, or a closely related field.
Compensation
This is a semester-based adjunct faculty appointment.
- $1,000 per course
- Candidates teaching both courses will receive $2,000 for the Fall 2026 semester.
