Edge Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing team. This is a key leadership position responsible for developing new construction opportunities, preparing competitive estimates, and successfully managing plumbing construction projects from award through closeout.
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and enjoys building relationships with clients, vendors, and field personnel. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing plans, preparing estimates, solving project challenges, and leading multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Estimating
- Review construction plans and specifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed plumbing estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Prepare competitive proposals and bid packages.
- Identify value engineering opportunities.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed.
Project Management
- Manage multiple commercial plumbing projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain project budgets.
- Procure materials and equipment.
- Issue purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
- Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Coordinate project schedules with field supervisors and clients.
- Monitor project costs, productivity, and profitability.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and warranty items.
Client & Team Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
- Work closely with executive leadership to ensure project success.
- Coordinate with field staff to resolve issues and keep projects moving.
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial plumbing estimating and/or project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience managing project budgets and schedules.
- Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with estimating software is preferred.
- Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar project management software is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
