Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, growth-oriented Mental Health Professional (MHP) to join our Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) team as a Clinical Supervisor. This role is a strong fit for a newly licensed clinician ready to step into assessment and supervisory responsibilities with support and mentorship along the way.
The primary focus of this position is completing the clinical assessments that anchor ARMHS services — Diagnostic Assessments (DAs), Functional Assessments (FAs), and Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) — and providing clinical supervision to the Mental Health Practitioners (MHPs) and Mental Health Rehabilitation Workers who deliver rehabilitative services to adults in the community. You'll help adults living with serious and persistent mental illness build the independent living, coping, and community skills they need to thrive at home and in their neighborhoods.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete Diagnostic Assessments (DAs) to establish diagnosis, medical necessity, and ARMHS eligibility for adult clients.
- Conduct and oversee Functional Assessments (FAs) that identify each client's functional strengths and impairments across daily living, social, and community domains.
- Develop and update Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) in collaboration with clients, aligning rehabilitative goals with assessed needs and reviewing/revising them within required timeframes.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Mental Health Practitioners and Rehabilitation Workers delivering ARMHS, ensuring services follow the treatment plan and meet program standards.
- Review, co-sign, and monitor documentation — progress notes and service records — for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Guide skill-building services focused on symptom and illness management, medication education support, interpersonal and social skills, transition to community living, and independent living skills.
- Support crisis response and coordination as needed, connecting clients to appropriate resources and higher levels of care when situations escalate.
- Coordinate with care teams and natural supports — case managers, prescribers, families, and community partners — to provide wraparound, person-centered support.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Minnesota DHS requirements, and Medical Assistance (Medicaid) documentation standards, using the agency's electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Contribute to quality and program improvement, helping refine assessment and supervision practices as the team grows.
Qualifications
- Licensure as a Mental Health Professional in Minnesota — for example LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, LP, or an equivalent qualifying license under Minn. Stat. Ch. 245I. Newly licensed clinicians are encouraged to apply.
- Ability (or readiness with onboarding) to complete DAs, FAs, and ITPs for an adult population.
- Interest in, or experience with, clinical supervision of practitioners and rehabilitation workers.
- Knowledge of adult mental health, including serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and co-occurring conditions.
- Comfort working in community-based, in-home, and telehealth settings rather than solely a clinic.
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and strong, timely documentation habits.
- Cultural responsiveness and sensitivity to how identity, background, and lived experience shape mental health care.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for client engagement, team coordination, and family/support-network involvement.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience delivering or supervising ARMHS or other Minnesota rehabilitative mental health services.
- Familiarity with Minn. Stat. 256B.0623 (ARMHS) and Ch. 245I provider standards.
- Experience with crisis intervention and coordination of care across systems.
- Bilingual skills or experience with underserved and diverse adult populations.
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
