Job Summary:
The Truck Driver safely operates end dump, belly dump, and other commercial vehicles to transport asphalt, aggregates, construction materials, and equipment to and from pits, plants, job sites, and customer locations. This position supports highway construction, paving, aggregate production, and other heavy civil construction operations while maintaining compliance with all company safety policies and applicable regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Safely operate end dump, belly dump, and other assigned commercial vehicles. Transport asphalt, aggregate, road base, sand, gravel, construction debris, and other materials as assigned. Perform required pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections. Complete and maintain required DOT documentation, inspection reports, and load tickets. Ensure loads are properly secured and transported in compliance with applicable regulations. Follow all company policies, safety policies, and OSHA, DOT, federal, state, and local regulations. Communicate effectively with supervisors, plant personnel, customers, and coworkers. Report vehicle defects, maintenance needs, incidents, and safety concerns promptly. Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean and orderly condition. Operate safely in construction zones, plants, pits, public roadways, and varying weather conditions. Maintain regular attendance and work assigned schedules, including overtime when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices. Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle operation. Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in a construction environment. Ability to inspect equipment and identify safety or mechanical concerns. Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing jobsite conditions.
Education and Experience:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate required. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Experience operating end dump and/or belly dump trailers preferred. Construction, aggregate, asphalt, or heavy civil hauling experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times. Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and loud machinery. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
