Overview
A residential behavioral health program serving adolescent girls in the Krum area is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to support psychiatric stabilization, therapeutic interventions, and medication management within a structured treatment setting. This role is ideal for nurses who value predictable weekend shifts and enjoy working with youth experiencing behavioral and emotional crises.
Responsibilities
Provide ongoing behavioral observation, stabilization, and therapeutic support.
Administer medications and maintain accurate EMR documentation.
Conduct safety checks, nursing assessments, and clinical interventions.
Assist with treatment planning in collaboration with therapists and psychiatric providers.
Support de-escalation, safety protocols, and trauma-informed care.
Communicate clearly with clinical teams to ensure coordinated resident care.
Maintain a professional, steady presence during high-acuity moments.
Qualifications
Required
Active Texas RN license in good standing
At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health, psych, residential treatment, or acute care
Weekend availability
Current BLS certification
Preferred
CPI, Handle With Care, or related crisis-prevention training
Experience with adolescent populations or trauma-informed environments
