Duties
- Perform a wide range of nail services including manicures, gel manicures, acrylic nail application, and nail extensions to meet client preferences.
- Provide professional pedicure treatments that promote healthy, beautiful feet.
- Apply and customize nail art using color theory principles for stunning designs.
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, offer recommendations, and upsell retail products such as nail care essentials or beauty treatments.
- Manage disinfection procedures for tools and workstations to uphold hygiene standards.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, techniques like dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments, and industry best practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of color theory, nail care techniques, and the application of nail extensions including acrylics and gels.
- Experience working in the beauty industry with proficiency in manicure, pedicure, and advanced nail art.
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols, sanitation practices, disinfection procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients.
- Ability to perform specialized treatments such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, hair extensions, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus.
- Retail sales skills including upselling products like nail polish or skincare items to enhance client satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills paired with professionalism to ensure client comfort and loyalty.
- Knowledge of retail math for managing product sales effectively.
