Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) team in York, PA. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory standards to provide exceptional care to our LTC patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for long-term care facilities.
- Accurately count, measure, and label medications according to prescriptions and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient and medication records in the pharmacy system.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and LTC facility staff.
- Assist in the preparation of medication packaging and delivery for LTC patients.
- Support quality assurance and safety initiatives within the pharmacy department.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician (preferred).
- Knowledge of pharmacy practices, medication names, and dosage forms (preferred).
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and inventory management systems (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
- Must be registered with the Pennsylvania Licensing System prior to start date.
