Duties
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of construction sites, including the installation of formwork and scaffolding
- Operate hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as concrete cutting, finishing, and pouring
- Support rebar installation, metal stud framing, and other structural components according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Mix and pour concrete using mixers and pumps, ensuring proper placement and finishing in accordance with project specifications
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with the movement of materials and equipment around the site
- Support carpentry, stucco application, caulking, plastering, flooring installation, and renovation activities as needed
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with construction sites is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of construction estimating are advantageous
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, concrete pumps, and heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions precisely
