Job Posting: HR Administrator
Location: Allentown, PA
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually, based on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated HR Administrator to join our team in the Health Care and Social Assistance industry. As an HR Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the HR department in various administrative tasks, including but not limited to maintaining employee records, managing HR documents, and assisting with recruitment processes. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our HR department.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Facilitate and oversee the employee lifecycle, including onboarding (orientation, documentation, and training coordination) and offboarding (exit interviews, documentation, and clearance).
- Administer payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in timesheet management, benefits enrollment, and deductions.
- Maintain and update accurate employee records, including personal information, employment status, benefits enrollment, and compliance with legal and organizational policies.
- Provide comprehensive support to employees on HR-related inquiries, resolving workplace concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and training programs in alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, maintaining readiness for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Prepare, review, and manage HR documents such as employment contracts, offer letters, disciplinary notices, and performance evaluations.
- Support the Program Director in strategic initiatives, audits, and compliance reviews to enhance HR practices and operations.
- Generate and analyze HR reports, identifying trends and insights to inform decision-making.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including responding to employee inquiries, coordinating events, and maintaining departmental records.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a human resources role, preferably in the human services or related field.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HRIS software (ADP)
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP)
Skills:
As an HR Generalist, you will utilize your strong organizational and time management skills to maintain employee records, manage HR documents, and assist with recruitment processes. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in answering employee inquiries and providing administrative support to the HR department. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite will be necessary to complete various administrative tasks. Preferred qualifications include experience with HRIS software, knowledge of employment laws and regulations, and certification in Human Resources (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP).
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional travel to other locations as needed.
Work Environment:
- Office setting with occasional field visits as required.

Compensation:
Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
