We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to join our growing care team providing care in Thurston County.. The Hospice RN is responsible for providing skilled nursing services, case management, and end-of-life support to patients and families in their place of residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Deliver direct patient care including symptom management, medication administration, and ongoing evaluation
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team including physicians, social workers, spiritual support, and aides
- Educate patients and families on hospice philosophy, disease progression, and comfort-focused care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospice and regulatory standards
- Participate in on-call rotation as assigned
- Support patients and families with compassion, dignity, and emotional understanding
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the State of Washington
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, hospice or home health preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
