Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and managing cash drawers.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible.
- Handle retail store product knowledge confidently to answer customer questions and recommend suitable items.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through effective upselling techniques.
- Manage phone etiquette professionally when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts, supporting a collaborative environment and ensuring smooth store operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for handling transactions accurately.
- Experience with cashiering, cash drawer handling, and retail math to ensure precise cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Ability to perform stocking duties and assist with merchandising initiatives as needed.
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team.
