Mitigation Manager
A growing restoration company is seeking an experienced Mitigation Manager to lead and oversee its mitigation operations. This is a hands on leadership position responsible for managing teams, overseeing project performance, maintaining strong customer and insurance relationships, and helping drive the continued growth and profitability of the mitigation department.
The ideal candidate is an experienced restoration professional with a strong background in mitigation who understands both the operational and business sides of restoration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the mitigation department.
- Supervise, coach, and hold mitigation staff and project managers accountable
- Oversee mitigation projects from initial loss through completion.
- Monitor project quality, timelines, documentation, and profitability.
- Work closely with customers, insurance adjusters, vendors, and referral partners.
- Help develop new business and strengthen referral relationships.
- Establish and monitor departmental goals and performance metrics.
- Assist with estimating, job reviews, and resolving project issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company procedures, and safety requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members as the department grows.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of management experience within the restoration industry.
- Strong background in mitigation/emergency restoration.
- Proven experience leading and developing field teams.
- Experience working with insurance claims and adjusters.
- Strong understanding of restoration processes and industry standards.
- Working knowledge of Xactimate.
- Experience with DASH, Next Gear Solutions, or similar restoration management software preferred.
- IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Business minded approach with an understanding of revenue, profitability, and department performance.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
