Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in diagnostic evaluation. This role requires a thorough understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, ensuring accurate and efficient patient care. The MRI Technologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide precise imaging services that support diagnosis and treatment planning. Experience with Siemens 3T Verio system a must. Experience with STAND-UP and OPEN MRI helpful. Will also train.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' internal structures, ensuring optimal image quality.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures.
- Review patient history and medical records to ensure appropriate imaging protocols are followed.
- Assist in the evaluation of images for clarity, accuracy, and completeness before submitting them for interpretation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed and equipment used.
- Ensure all imaging equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and cleaned according to safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians to facilitate diagnostic evaluation by providing high-quality images promptly.
Skills
- Proficiency in MRI technology .
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively to prevent infection risks during procedures.
- Excellent understanding of medical imaging principles and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Good communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Attention to detail in capturing accurate images and maintaining precise documentation.
