Patient Care Coordinator
Prairie Rehabilitation, a rehabilitation company specializing in physical, occupational, and speech therapy is seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator for our Harrisburg clinic. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is outgoing, friendly, determined, goal oriented, and committed to clinical excellence. This position will be interacting with both patients and therapists, assuring excellent communication in regards to insurance, scheduling needs, and patient concerns/feedback.
The schedule for this position is:
Monday- 7:30am-5pm
Tuesday- 8am-4pm
Wednesday- 8am-5pm
Thursday- 7:30am-5pm
Friday- 8am-5pm
Job responsibilities include:
- Greeting everyone who enters the clinic in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Collecting new patient intake information, including data entry
- Collecting co-payments & co-insurance
- Answering phones and transferring/screening calls as appropriate
- Scheduling new & existing patients and making schedule adjustments as needed
- Assuring optimal use of therapist’s time by monitoring gaps in schedule and filling in with people on wait list
- Verifying insurance coverage
- Preparing and typing routine correspondence, form letters, and reports
- Ensuring patient privacy by following HIPAA
- Taking care of all mail, fax, and copy requests
- Maintaining inventory of the necessary office forms and supplies
- Ensuring data entry has been completed for documenting systems
- Closing duties: laundry, restocking, general cleaning etc.
- Other duties as assigned
