Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by executing routine janitorial tasks with precision.
- Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Use various cleaning equipment effectively, including vacuums, floor buffers, mops, and industrial cleaning tools to ensure optimal results.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while following manual handling safety protocols.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and maintaining a friendly, professional attitude throughout your shift.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with knowledge of hotel housekeeping management best practices.
- Strong skills in floor cleaning, sanitation, and industrial cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and chemical agent handling for safe and effective use.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining physical stamina.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance standards.
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial settings is highly desirable.
