The Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County seeks a strategic, mission-driven, and community-focused leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide overall leadership for the organization and advance its mission of helping young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
The CEO serves as the chief spokesperson, fundraiser, strategist, and administrator of the organization. This individual will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, donors, community leaders, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the organization.
- Partner with the Board of Directors to establish and achieve organizational goals.
- Lead fundraising efforts, including annual giving, major gifts, grants, sponsorships,
- special events, and future capital campaign initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, foundations, businesses, schools, elected officials, and community partners.
- Ensure sound financial management, operational excellence, and organizational sustainability.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team while fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, and professional growth.
- Serve as the primary liaison to Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Indiana Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs.
- Promote high-quality youth development programming and maintain compliance with all safety and operational standards.Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, public administration, education, social services, or a related field, or other equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in nonprofit management, youth development, education, community services, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor relations, grant development, and revenue generation.
- Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience working effectively with a volunteer Board of Directors.
- Experience managing budgets, staff, and organizational operations.
- A passion for serving youth and strengthening communities.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
