Position: Travel RRT-NICU
Facility: Piedmont Newton Hospital
Location: Covington, GA
Duration: 12 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3 × 12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory status through detailed evaluation of vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and clinical observations.
- Administer and monitor respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery systems, nebulizers, and aerosol treatments.
- Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory devices to support patients with compromised breathing.
- Manage airway interventions including intubation assistance, airway clearance techniques, and neonatal resuscitation procedures.
- Respond swiftly to cardiac arrest emergencies by providing advanced airway management and ventilator support.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory therapies, medication administration, and device usage.
- Maintain proficiency in the operation of medical equipment related to pulmonology and critical care.
- Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and clinical outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- RRT
- NRP
- BLS-AHA
- ACLS-AHA
- PALS-AHA
